Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Viano Hold Value Better
Stuttgart, Feb 08, 2007 In the latest Schwacke Automobile Forecast Index (F-SAX) – published twice a year – the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the top luxury car whilst the Mercedes-Benz Viano leads the field in the MPV category.
The F-SAX looks at models with the same mileage, comparable engine outputs and similar equipment in each vehicle category. The depreciation forecast, calculated in euros, takes into account the development of residual values in the German car market.
According to the index, the Viano MPV has a residual value of 58% after three years, while the S-Class luxury saloon retains 52.7% of its value after the same period.
Both scores are the best in the respective vehicle categories.
