DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2007 -- The 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is proud to announce the first annual NAIAS 2007 Photo Contest sponsored by WWJ. On Tuesday, January 16 visitors with an auto show ticket will be able to attend the show an hour early (8 a.m.), giving them unprecedented access to photograph the show.

"We are so excited to partner with WWJ to provide this unique opportunity to NAIAS attendees this year," said Robert Thibodeau, Jr., senior co-chairman for the NAIAS 2007. "Not only do attendees get to enter the show an hour early, allowing them a prime opportunity to take great photos, but they get to have their photos seen on the NAIAS Web site and have a chance to win a really cool prize."

Photos must be taken with a camera (camera phones do not qualify). Photos can be submitted from Tuesday, January 16 through Sunday, January 21, but participants are only allowed early entry on Tuesday, January 16. During this time participants will be able to upload their photos on www.naias.com, browse photos from other participants and enter to win an official framed NAIAS 2007 poster.

"NAIAS attendees have a great eye for cars so I know we'll get some great photo entries this year," said Carl Galeana, co-chairman for the NAIAS 2007. "This contest is a great way to add to the fun and excitement that the NAIAS brings each year."

Photos must be submitted in any one of the following categories:

100th Anniversary

In 2007, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) will celebrate the centennial of its successful association with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Since its inception in 1907, the show has grown from a regional event featuring 17 exhibitors to an internationally-sanctioned show with over 90 exhibitors, adding more than $500 million to the metro Detroit region last year alone. With the support of Detroit area auto dealers the NAIAS features more new vehicle debuts and garners more media coverage than any show in North America.

NAIAS 2007 Official Dates
