Magellan®, AAA Clubs Provide Update on Auto Navigation Partnership

LAS VEGAS--Magellan’s partnership with four of the largest regional AAA clubs in the United States is continuing to gather momentum, Magellan said today. Magellan is a leading provider of consumer, survey, GIS and OEM GPS navigation and positioning units.

Magellan and AAA - which announced their relationship with AAA clubs in November 2006 - are offering the Magellan RoadMate AAA Edition RS2.0, an exclusive version of Magellan’s award-winning RoadMate series of portable auto navigation solutions, to members of AAA Mid-Atlantic, AAA California State Automobile Association, and AAA Auto Club South and AAA Western and Central New York. The combined membership of these AAA clubs is more than 15 million.

The special edition Magellan RoadMate AAA Edition RS2.0 is the only auto navigation device to integrate AAA’s famous Tourbook guide listings for quick routing to AAA rated hotels, restaurants, attractions and locations where members can save. It is available through club offices and online stores.

In addition, the customized product offers Magellan’s voice- and text-guided turn-by-turn directions with nationwide street maps preloaded on the built-in hard drive for door-to-door guidance anywhere in North America.
