Nationwide Tour Kicks Off on April 18th in Charlotte, NC

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 -- To kick off the 7th year of the hugely successful Honda Civic Tour, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. announced multi-platinum, two-time MTV VMA award-winning band, Fall Out Boy as the 2007 headliner during an event and surprise performance today at the company's U.S. headquarters in Torrance, California.

Over the last six years, the Honda Civic Tour has become one of the music industry's hottest tours by putting fans in touch with their favorite artists at moderate ticket prices while promoting environmental consciousness. This year's headliner, Fall Out Boy, has had hit after hit blowing up the airwaves with their chart topping album From Under the Cork Tree. The band is back with their latest CD, Infinity On High, due in stores February 6, 2007, bringing their already unique sound to the next level. Collaborating with hit-makers Jay Z and Babyface, the band's latest endeavor is said to be their most eclectic yet. The band debuted their first single from Infinity On High, "THIS AIN'T A SCENE, IT'S AN ARMS RACE" on the American Music Awards in November, and the song quickly charged up the radio charts.

This year's Honda Civic Tour is pulling out all the stops with Fall Out Boy's super-charged, over-the-top stage show, guaranteed to bring both loyal and new fans to their feet. Fall Out Boy will be kicking off the 7th Annual Honda Civic Tour on April 18th in Charlotte, NC, with full tour schedule and support acts to be announced soon.

As part of the partnership, Fall Out Boy created and designed special custom features for a Honda Civic Hybrid which will be displayed on tour with the band and showcased at each venue. Throughout the tour, fans will have the opportunity to enter to win this customized, one-of-a-kind car which has been autographed by the band making it the ultimate memorabilia. The vehicle was unveiled during the announcement and special performance that took place today for selected Honda associates.
