World's Oldest Ford and Rarest Muscle Car Headline RM Auctions Arizona Sale - Jan. 19th

A Rare 1971 Hemi 'Cuda Convertible Valued at More Than $4 Million Joins the World's Oldest Ford, a Le Mans Winning 1982 Porsche 956 Race Car, a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet, a 1935 Delahaye 135S Racer, a 1988 Jeep "Durangoneer" and the Last Duesenberg Built at Phoenix Biltmore Hotel - Jan. 19, 2007

BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada (December 27, 2006) - The world's leading vintage auction and restoration company RM Auctions returns to Phoenix, Arizona on January 19th, 2007 for the 8th Annual "Vintage Motor Cars in Arizona" auction event. The auction, taking place between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, will offer over one hundred extraordinarily and historically significant automobiles. The elegant single-day auction affair will unite professional car collectors and enthusiasts from around the globe at the prestigious Biltmore hotel to kick off the much anticipated 2007 collector car season.

Leading the all star line-up is the ultra-rare 1971 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda Convertible. The only of its kind ever produced, one of 11 ever built, and the first time ever offered for auction. The "king kong" or "holy grail" of muscle cars features Plymouth's legendary Hemi powered 426 cubic inch engine capable of 425 horsepower. The car spent its life in careful hands with a mere two years as a championed pro-stock eliminator drag car on ¼ mile race tracks adding to the provenance and chalking up just 282 original miles. 1942 Lincoln Presidential Limousine - In private hands for 44 years, this armor-plated and bullet-proof White House vehicle was engineered and built by the Ford Motor Company, under the watchful eye of the Secret Service, for use by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and subsequently President Harry S. Truman.

1982 Porsche 956 Race Car -Arguably the single most successful of the Porsche 956/962 series was 956-003, raced to second place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1982 raced by Vern Schuppan and Jochen Mass it was the winner of the Porsche 956's next four races. In 1983 Schuppan, Al Holbert and Hurley Haywood drove 956-003 to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, covering the then-record distance of 3,136 miles. In1986 956-003 was sold to Vern Schuppan in whose hands it had twice raced at Le Mans, winning in 1983. It remained in his collection for the next fourteen years. 1938 Duesenberg Model SJ Limousine by Rollston -Widely regarded as one of the most significant Duesenbergs in existence, "the Bauer SJ" or "The Last Duesenberg" shows an incredible 10,000 documented miles from new. The Duesenberg limo retains 100% of its original gleaming black lacquer paint; original chrome; original silk top; original outrageous violet leather interior; original deep purple wool carpeting - original WWII gas rationing sticker including double-sided Vogue whitewall tires. It is additionally the last Duesenberg ever built and the longest at 20' 7" from its extended Art Deco locomotive grill to its twin rear-mounted spares. Just three owners have had the privilege of preserving this icon of automotive history. Estimated value $2,500,000 - $3,000,000

Henry Ford's 1903 Ford Model A- Unveiled by Henry Ford over one hundred years ago as the very first production car, the Model A emerged as one of the most influential products of the industrial age. The Ford Motor Company at Mack Avenue, Detroit, started trading on July 13th 1903 and on that day the first three motor cars were sold. Two did not survive making this car (Number 30), "the oldest surviving car built by the Ford Motor Company." Estimated value available upon request

1988 Jeep "Durangoneer" Project - This "dare to be different" SUV combines the body of a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with the shortened and strengthened chassis of a Hemi-powered Dodge Durango. Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America.
