New Convertibles Make a Splashy Debut at LA Auto Show

Washington DC December 1, 2006; As automakers unveiled their new models at the Los Angeles Auto Show and there was no shortage of convertibles as luxury, fun and exotic ruled the roost, reports USA Today. Jim O'Sullivan, CEO of Mazda's North America operations, says that the automaker has a hard time keeping drop-top-equipped cars in stock. "Our dealers cannot get enough retractable hard tops," O'Sullivan says. These convertibles offer the consumer a wide variety to choose from in terms of specs and price. The following vehicles were on display for all to see: Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster, Audi TT Roadster, Nissan Altima Coupe, Chrysler Sebring convertible, and Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster.
