All-New Outlander Leads Mitsubishi to November 2006 Sales Increase

CYPRESS, Calif., Dec. 1, 2006 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc., (MMNA) today reported November sales of 9,256 units, up 4% from last November's total of 8,902.

The increase included the first full month of sales of the all-new fuel-efficient crossover SUV, the Mitsubishi Outlander. Outlander sales closed the month at 1,694 units, up 41.7% from November 2005 volume.

"We're very pleased with the strong launch of the Outlander," said MMNA CEO Hiroshi Harunari. "Customers obviously recognize the vehicle's outstanding styling, performance, and value."

  Other November sales highlights:

  *  Galant was the volume leader at 2,442, up 15.7% from November of
     last year.
  *  Eclipse Spyder closed at 424 units, up 450% from the same month last
     year.
  *  Eclipse coupe sales continued strong at 1,753 units.  Eclipse sales
     for January through November 2006 are up 29.7% over the same period
     last year.
