Wishes Will Come True During a Season of Wishes Thanks to One Lucky Bid for Adam Carolla's 'Xtreme Ride' Subaru Impreza WRX

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30 -- Al & Ed's Autosound, Santa Monica Subaru, Eclipse and 97.1 FREE-FM's Adam Carolla Show presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles with a check worth $26,300 at the Los Angeles Auto Show this morning, to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The money was raised when the companies teamed up to auction an "Xtreme Ride," donated by Santa Monica Subaru and outfitted by Al & Ed's Autosound with Eclipse products, earlier this fall. Leon Rotella, 46, of Monroe, Connecticut is the lucky bidder that will take home the Subaru WRX TR, for $26,300, after its display at the Los Angeles Auto Show from December 1st - December 10th. The presentation this morning is one of many events helping to raise awareness for the Foundation during its holiday season campaign, A Season of Wishes.

"I was looking to buy a Subaru Impreza WRX, but finding this opportunity has made the car-buying experience extremely rewarding," said Rotella. "I am buying a great vehicle that has today's hottest technology custom installed, and every dollar is going to an extremely worthy organization. The Make-A- Wish Foundation touches the lives of so many children and I'm thrilled to know that my money will make wishes come true. I can't wait to take the car for a spin!"

Adam Carolla's "Xtreme Ride" Subaru Impreza WRX TR features the latest in Eclipse car audio and electronics including the AVN7000, a 5.1 surround sound processor and Eclipse speaker system complete with iPod installation, MP3 capability and Sirius Satellite Radio, custom installed in fiberglass enclosures and plexiglass emitting a blue glow. The vehicle also has touch screen headrest monitors and a camera in the rear bumper for safety.

"A Season of Wishes is about granting children's wishes and sharing the power of a wish throughout the Los Angeles area and campaigns like this make granting wishes possible for our organization," said Kelli Seely, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. "It is heartwarming to see so many local companies involved in outfitting this vehicle and auctioning it off for the children the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles serves."
