RENAULT’S SENSATIONAL CONCEPT CAR ‘NEPTA” - VIDEO ENHANCED

One of the joys of the recently concluded Paris auto show were the displays of concept cars -- concepts that would never make it to American shows in Detroit, New York, Los Angeles or Chicago.

With that in mind I’m launching “an every so often” article with appropriate photos or videos of the seldom seen concepts. If you’d like to see a specific model just let me know. The first is Renault’s Nepta.

Nepta is a luxury 4-seater cabriolet with flowing, elegant lines. The car's exquisite, low-slung body style expresses energy in motion, while the resolutely high-spec interior is more than generous on space and comfort.

A dynamic interpretation of the 4-seater Grand Touring cabriolet, Nepta is as pleasant to drive as an executive saloon. With its motorized gull-wing doors that rise simultaneously to reveal the interior and engine compartment, set in a real presentation case, Nepta is the embodiment of the dream car and a marvel of mechanical beauty.
