SUPERSHOW 2007 - A Century of Motorcycling Display

More Than 100 Years of Motorcycle History at The 2007 SUPERSHOW January 5 - 7!

Thursday, November 23, 2006 (Toronto) - An unprecedented display depicting more than 100 years of motorcycle design, development and obsession, is coming to North America's largest and most comprehensive motorcycle exhibition, SUPERSHOW 2007. Titled 'A Century of Motorcycling,' this exhibit is an illustration of the evolution of motorcycles from their invention to the present day. The 2007 North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW, presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance, is held at the Toronto International Centre, January 5-7th, 2007 and features seven individually-themed halls in 425,000 square feet of exhibit space.

"A Century of Motorcycling display is the most comprehensive exhibit of vintage and classic motorcycles put together for a three day event in Canada," says Bar Hodgson, Show Producer. "Visitors can expect a rare glimpse into the history of motorcycles, presented by the Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum."

This premier exhibition depicts an historical timeline and features over 50 motorcycles. The oldest bike, a 1903 Kerry, is more than 102 years old and is the oldest known motorcycle in Canada. With bikes representing each decade, visitors are sure to get a true sense of the evolution of motorcycling. Some feature bikes include the 1920 Indian Boardtrack Racer, the 1939 Panther Redwing, the 1953 Vincent Rapide and the 1975 MV Agusta America, with the most recent milestone, the 2005 Kawasaki ZX-12R that recently surpassed the 200 mph mark, at Maxton Airport Runway, using a normally-aspirated engine.

In a side display presented by the Museum's 'Hall of Fame', visitors can view the 'Wall of Fame', sponsored by Suzuki Canada, honouring the 2006 Inductees.

The motorcycles on display are a combination of historical marques from the SUPERSHOW Collection and bikes on loan from private individuals across Canada and the U.S., many of whom are members of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group.

A Century of Motorcycling display is found in the "Vintage & Classics" Hall 4A of the SUPERSHOW, which also features an array of marque clubs, commercial vendors specializing in vintage motorcycles, special guests and restoration experts. It's a must-see for any vintage enthusiast.

Established in 1976, the SUPERSHOW is North America's largest consumer motorcycle show. Produced by Bar Hodgson Productions Inc, the SUPERSHOW, known as 'The Big One by the Airport', is dedicated to presenting the finest the motorcycle industry has to offer for every type of motorcycle enthusiast.
