Thor Only RV Manufacturer to Show Increase in Retail Sales

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio, Nov. 17, 2006 -- Thor Industries, Inc. said today that it is the only publicly held recreation vehicle manufacturer to show an increase in retail unit sales in the month of September and in the quarter ended September 30, 2006, according to Statistical Surveys, Inc.

In the month of September, Thor travel trailer and fifth wheel retail sales were up 7% from last year to 6,378 units. Thor retail motor homes sales were 550 units, up 9% from last year.

In the quarter ended September 30, 2006, Thor travel trailer and fifth wheel sales were 20,669 units, up 2% from last year. Thor motor home sales in the quarter were 1,666 units up 2% from the prior year.

Thor is the world's largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and a major builder of commercial buses.
