KCR Race Report - 11-13-06

Early crash ends day for Brian Keselowski

Avondale, Ariz. Brian Keselowski finished 43rd behind the wheel of the #23 Ridley Motorcycles Chevrolet in the Arizona Travel 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday.

Keselowski had started in 43rd position in his NASCAR Busch Series debut. He hoped to gain seat time and experience in the race but another car got into him on lap 22 and he hit the wall.

"It was great to get a chance to compete with these guys, but I wish things had turned out a little better," said Keselowski.

"Brian was doing a good job out there today," said crew chief Ronnie Griffin. "He was just trying to stay out of trouble when he got hit. That's racing."

Brian Keselowski was subbing for his brother Brad, who skipped the race to maintain his eligibility for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year in 2007. Brad will be back in the #23 Ridley Motorcycles Chevrolet this weekend for the season finale in the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
