GM's Rick Wagoner Meets with Heads of Toyota, Isuzu and Suzuki in Japan

Washington DC November 9, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that General Motors Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner held separate meetings in Japan Wednesday with leaders of Toyota, Isuzu and Suzuki, according to The Associated Press.

A GM statement said the meetings, which were scheduled in advance of Wagoner's trip to Japan, were held to talk about "areas of mutual interest."

The automaker would not reveal specific issues the executives discussed due to a "matter of policy, and because the meetings were private."

GM has long-standing business relationships with all three Japanese automakers.
