ATLANTA - November 8, 2006: For the first time in the United States, Porsche Cars North America is introducing the internationally renowned Porsche Travel Club. While the Porsche Driving Experience offers driving courses throughout the year at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, the Porsche Travel Club will feature special driving events in selected locations in the U.S. starting next year.

New to North America, the Porsche Travel Club has successfully hosted many events throughout Europe. Overseas, the driving indulgences include the Porsche Cayman S camps in the Tyrolean Dolomites, Porsche 911 weekends in Germanys Black Forest, Porsche Cayenne S tours through the Pyrenees mountain formations in Andorra and desert safaris in Dubai. In total, there have been 52 locations worldwide that the Porsche Travel Club has carefully chosen to host its events.

Launching in Vail, Colorado on the 21st of January 2007, the Porsche Travel Club will provide groups of 20 participants with a four-day experience surrounding the sports cars. The participants will be picked up at Eagle County Regional Airport and will stay at the five-star, five-diamond Lodge & Spa at Cordillera resort, where they will experience sleigh-rides through the snowy landscape of the Vail Valley. Moreover, they will navigate four-wheel-drive Porsche 911 Carrera 4s and 4Ss on a driving track carved into an icy mountain-top golf course, which is geared to provide them with an exciting and valuable driving experience. It is one of the most scenic drives one can imagine, says Bill Buckley, Porsches Driving Programs Manager. The location is just beautiful and provides us with a great track.

As the Porsche Travel Club strives to assure that all details of the event will contribute to the participants adventure, relaxation and wealth of memories, it enrolls experienced driving instructors for training purposes. The participants will learn how to control their vehicles on ice and snow. They will practice their new skills on the icy track driving Porsche 911 Carreras and will get hand-on instructions to apply their new skills in everyday driving as the training focuses on safety, car control, situational awareness and overall driving agility.
