Farmers Insurance Group Co-Sponsors Largest One-Day Motorcycle Fundraiser Event in the World

LOS ANGELES--“The Love Ride,” the largest one-day motorcycle event in the world, rolls from Glendale to Castaic Lake recreation area November 12, 2006. Farmers Insurance Group of Companies CEO Paul Hopkins will be among the motorcycle riders.

“Farmers and Foremost Insurance Company are proud co-sponsors of the event, which raises funds to support the March of Dimes®, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Reading by 9, Hurricane Katrina, and over 20 additional charities,” Mr. Hopkins said. “More than 20,000 riders, including other Farmers and Foremost executives, will join me in this most worthy event.”

Jay Leno, Tonight Show host, is the grand marshal of the ride which begins at 7 a.m. at Glendale Harley Davidson, 3717 San Fernando Road, Glendale, California and ends at Castaic Lake recreation area near Santa Clarita, California. Joining Mr. Leno will be actors Peter Fonda and Robert Patrick, honorary marshals, and Willie G. Davidson, honorary chairman of the ride.

The ride is but one part of the day’s events. A concert is planned for the afternoon at Castaic Lake, plus a trade show. Minimum charitable donation is $75.00 per person, $70 if you register online before November 10^th or at Glendale Harley Davidson by November 7^th. If you are not a rider, the donation includes admission to the concert, trade show and barbecue, plus two beverages.
