AAA Announces Free Car Care Maintenance Inspections During October Car Care Month

BURNSVILLE, Minn.--During AAA Car Care Month in October, participating AAA Clubs of Minnesota and Iowa Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facilities are offering AAA members free car care maintenance inspections to help identify potential car problems.

Certified technicians will inspect vehicle belts, hoses, tires, lights, fluid levels and batteries. After completing a maintenance inspection form, the technician will discuss with the owner any problems found. To take advantage of this free inspection, call the AAR facility in your area to confirm their participation and make an appointment.

AAA’s AAR network is the result of a major member need to find qualified automotive repair. The program provides a network of more than 7,500 repair locations in the United States and Canada, including approximately 149 facilities in Minnesota and 55 in Iowa.

The AAR sign at an automotive facility means highly qualified technicians, a wide range of professional repair services and guaranteed quality workmanship. In order to be considered for approval, facilities undergo a review process in which everything from equipment to customer service is considered. The AAR program protects members against repair failure, as all repairs, parts, labor and components are guaranteed by the repair facility for 12 months or 12,000 miles under normal operating conditions.

Once a facility earns the AAR distinction, AAA representatives make regular visits and conduct an annual review.
