Details: The Michigan State Police EPIC program (Education & Prevention of Impaired Crashes) has reached hundreds of Michigan teenagers to educate them about the risks of drinking and driving.

The program uses a GEM electric vehicle, produced by Global Electric Motorcars, a division of DaimlerChrysler, on a course laid out with safety cones. Drivers are outfitted with special "Drunk Busters" goggles which simulate the effects of being alcohol- or drug-impaired.

The result is a real life experience with the difficulty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Other: You are invited to attend the TIA meeting, talk with Sgt. Campbell about the program and watch as area teens attempt to drive the course 'under the influence.'
