Hyundai Motor America Announces J. I. Kim Named Group Executive President

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 15 -- Hyundai Motor America announced today that Jae Il Kim will serve as Group Executive President.

Kim will coordinate and oversee Hyundai operations in North America including those of Hyundai Motor America, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Hyundai Motor Finance Company, Hyundai Auto Canada and Hyundai Translead. He will be based in Fountain Valley California.

Kim previously had been Senior Executive Vice President, International Division, of the Hyundai Motor Business Group. He joined Hyundai in 1977.

Hyundai Motor America, headquartered in Fountain Valley, Calif., is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Co. of Korea. Hyundai vehicles are distributed throughout the United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced through more than 725 dealerships nationwide.
