AirTran Airways Welcomes Danica Patrick to Andretti-Green's Line-Up of Racing Stars

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 12 -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. and official airline sponsor of Andretti-Green Racing, tips its wings today to congratulate IndyCar racing sensation Danica Patrick on her new partnership with the legendary IRL team. Patrick will join her newest crew members and AGR founding father, Michael Andretti, to announce her place on the racing team today at a media event in Chicago, just a few miles from her hometown of Rostoe, Ill.

A sponsor of the racing team since May 2005, AirTran Airways will be honored with logos emblazoned on Patrick's car and uniform. Patrick, the Indy Racing League's 2005 Rookie of the Year, will join new teammates Marco Andretti, Dario Franchitti, Bryan Herta, and Tony Kanaan at Victory Lane when the IRL's 2007 season begins in the spring.
