Ripe Digital Entertainment Launches OctaneTV the First Multiplatform On Demand TV Network for Auto Fanatics

- Short Form Shows Feature Hot Import Nights, Drifting From D1 and User Generated Video -

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 -- On Demand TV Leader Ripe Digital Entertainment (RDE) announced today the launch of the OctaneTV network, the first-ever on demand network targeted to the youth car culture lifestyle and motor enthusiast. OctaneTV will launch to over 22 million screens across multiple platforms, including all Comcast and Time Warner VOD homes, broadband (www.octanetv.com) and mobile. OctaneTV expects to be available on over 40 million screens by Q1 2007.

Utilizing the same style of its break-through On Demand network RipeTV, RDE programs OctaneTV with short-form, attention deficit-friendly A.D.D. TV(R) shows (5-15 min.) designed to give viewers short burst, instant gratification programming in a proven format that works on demand. RDE advertisers leverage Connective Advertising(R), a platform that provides fast forward resistant, highly creative and highly measurable advertising made for on demand television.

"There's a huge audience for automotive lifestyle programming currently underrepresented in the marketplace," said Ryan Magnussen, CEO of RDE. "We've got programs for the Import Tuner, 'Fast and Furious' crowd, such as Hot Import Nights. There's Racing Beat for the racing enthusiast. We have a show with Travis Pastrana doing his motorcycle backflips for the first time. Viewers want this programming and advertisers are hungry for the venue as well," he added.

Launch advertisers on OctaneTV include Dodge, Craftsman and Cingular. Measurement will be provided by Rentrak (TM) for VOD and Webside Story in broadband. Mobile measurement provided by the individual mobile carriers.

In 2005, Ripe Digital Entertainment successfully launched RipeTV, the first on demand network to launch simultaneously on cable VOD, broadband and wireless platforms. Since launching on Comcast, RipeTV has continually increased its viewership and currently ranks as one of the top on-demand networks in VOD and broadband. Its distribution references 22 million subscribers reached and projects that number to increase by 60% leading into 2007.
