Scott Pruett, No. 40 Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon Dodge Race Advance

AMD at the Glen- Watkins Glen International

No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Driver Line-Up: This weekend road racing veteran Scott Pruett
will be behind the wheel of the No. 40 Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon
Dodge. This will be Pruett's second start in the No. 40 Dodge this
season.

* Triple Play: This weekend Pruett will be pulling the triple
play. Friday night he will be driving the No. 01 car in the Grand
American Series, Saturday he will be in the No. 1 car for Phoenix Racing
in the NASCAR Busch Series and Sunday he will be driving the No. 40 car
in the NEXTEL Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International.

* Welcome Aboard, John: Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates
(CGRFS) announced last Friday John Fernandez, former Director of Dodge
Motorsports, accepted a new position with the organization to serve as
Managing Director of its Concord racing operation. Fernandez will
manage all aspects of the organization's racing operation in North
Carolina, including overseeing all four teams, as well as the engine,
fabrication and paint shops. His move to CGRFS follows a long career
with the DaimlerChrysler Corporation, where he served for 35 years.
Fernandez is also an experienced racer himself, competing in the Sports
Car Club of America (SCCA) in which he claimed four championship titles.
He is originally from Gloversville, N.Y.

* Road Course Stats: Pruett has 36-career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup
Series starts dating back to 2000, four of which have come at the
2.45-mile Watkins Glen International. He recorded his best finish of
second at the track three years ago in the No. 39 Dodge. His average
starting position at the Glen is 20th and his average finish is sixth.
Overall, he has ten starts on road courses and his highest finish is
second at Watkins Glen in 2003.

* Last Season at the Glen: Pruett stepped in to drive the No. 40
Coors Light Dodge last year at Watkins Glen International for Sterling
Marlin after his father passed away. Pruett was forced to start from
the back of the pack on race day, however, took the set back quite
literally in stride as he stormed up through the 43-car field to finish
a season-best fourth for the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge.

* Chassis: Crew Chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 Lone Star
Steakhouse & Saloon crew are taking chassis No. 311 for the second road
course race of the season. Pruett tested this car at Virginia
International Raceway (VIR) earlier in June before racing it in the
Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway later that month.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: The No. 40 Dodge is 38th
in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup owner's standings. It is 438 points out of the
top 20.

Scott Pruett Quote:

"It's going to be another busy weekend in Watkins Glen. I'm starting to
get used to running all these races here each season. Rolex, Busch or
Cup Series - I always enjoy running at The Glen. Hopefully we have some
good weather this time around. Last year we had what looked like a
top-10 qualifying run going for the Cup race, until rain washed it all
out. But we still managed to finished fourth in Sterling [Marlin's] car.
And earlier this year in the sports car race, we endured six hours of
wet conditions on and off. It's going to be busy, but these are the
weekends you live for. I'm hoping to get the no. 01 Daytona Prototype
back to victory lane, and back in the points race. The goal for the 40
car is just to keep our nose clean, qualify well, and get the team the
points it needs to keep their momentum going."
