WHAT: Hot Wheels(R) honors the rich automotive history of America's
rural highways with a day-long festival in Speed, KS
(population 35). More than 5,000 people, including collectors
and automotive enthusiasts, are expected to attend.
WHEN: Sunday, August 6, 2006
7 a.m. Longest Hot Wheels(R) track world record attempt
10 a.m. Parade begins led by life-size Hot Wheels(R) car
11 a.m. Hot Wheels(R) awarded keys to the city
from Mayor of Speed
11:20 a.m. Miss Hot Wheels(R) pageant begins
Noon Three bands perform with sounds from country
to rock to rockabilly
3:30 p.m. Car and motorcycle show awards
6 p.m. Event concludes
