NASTF - Next Meeting During Las Vegas 'Industry Week'

ARLINGTON, Va., July 21 -- The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) announced today that the semi-annual meeting will be held in Las Vegas during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week. The meeting will start at 1:30 p.m. on November 1, 2006 at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Room C2 of the event center. The meeting agenda includes a chairman's report on the progress of formalizing the organization and reports on the activities of the following NASTF standing committees: Service Information, Education and Training, Tools and Equipment, Vehicle Security and Communications.

This is an open meeting of the NASTF. Registration is not required and everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to participate.

The National Automotive Service Task Force was established in 2000 to facilitate: (1) the identification and correction of gaps in the availability and accessibility of OEM automotive service information; (2) technology training for technicians; (3) availability of both OEM and generic diagnostic tools and equipment; (4) availability of vehicle security information (added in 2004), and (5) communication outreach to automotive service professionals.
