Will Farrel Says Some Stupid Things as Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights

Editors Note: The Auto Channel recieved this letter today and thought you should see it also.

Dear Editor;

Children nationwide are in danger! On August 4, 2006, Sony Pictures is releasing a motion picture titled 'Talladega Nights, the ballad of Ricky Bobby.' www.rickybobby.com

Thru this website, please view the listed trailers. There are 2 specific previews that concern Kids In Cars. One preview is being shown at local theatres. It shows the main character, played by Will Ferrel talking to children telling them 'take your mom and dad's keys and go practice driving in your driveways. If you need to crash, use a tree, because there is insurance.'

The other trailer/preview shows the character as a child being left unattended in a running car while his mom runs into a convenience store. The child actor climbs over the seat and puts the car into gear and uses a baseball bat to push on the gas pedal taking off on a rampage.

This movie is listed as a comedy, but Kids In Cars sees nothing comical about the messages that are being sent.

Kids In Cars is a national non-profit organization protecting children from being left unattended in and around vehicles. So far, for 2006, there has been 52 fatalities resulting in children being left unattended in and around vehicles.

We need to stop this production or perhaps have these scenes removed. We need to take action before more children's lives are lost.

Please help Kids In Cars make a difference. It would a shame to have NASCAR represented in such a manner that children's lives may be lost due to poor judgement of Sony Pictures and their writers.
