General Motors Brand Websites will Feature the Intelliprice Vehicle Appraisal Service

Online Trade Appraisal Service Generates Incremental Sales Leads for GM Dealers

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 26 -- After extensive testing and evaluation, General Motors has selected the Intelliprice(TM) trade appraisal service for the Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac, Saab and Saturn websites. Intelliprice provides a branded online vehicle appraisal which is featured on the divisional website. The announcement of the two-year deal was made by Mike McFall, president of Veretech, Inc., which provides Intelliprice, and Linda Pesonen, Marketing Director for GM Customer Relationship Management.

Visitors to any of the seven websites can receive a free written vehicle appraisal by using the Intelliprice service. Consumers click on the Intelliprice link where they are asked to provide some detailed information on the vehicle and its condition. A price range for the vehicle is provided to the consumer and a participating local franchised dealership in the prospect's market. The dealership also receives the name, contact information, and new vehicle interest of the inquiring consumer.

"With the Intelliprice service, we are providing an accurate price range for the consumer and a solid lead for our dealers. Over the last year, we've undertaken a comprehensive comparison of various used vehicle valuation tools. We selected Intelliprice because of its ability to generate incremental, high value leads and increase vehicle sales. It also provides a very consumer friendly process," said Pesonen.

Bill Krouse, vice president/general manager at Polar Chevrolet in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and a member of the GM CRM Dealer Advisory Board knows from personal experience that this program is generating high quality leads. "I am pleased to see the GM team taking such an innovative approach in their online strategy," Krouse said.

Many GM dealerships, like Polar, also subscribe to Black Book(R) Online, the dealer version of the Intelliprice service.

"Recent research tells us that the ability to get a quick and accurate trade-in appraisal is very important for prospects conducting research on the Internet. We also know that many consumers are willing to provide their contact information to help speed the buying process along. This greatly increases the opportunity for establishing quick and meaningful communication between dealerships and motivated, qualified prospects. This process leads to better understanding on both sides and increased sales," said McFall.

The Intelliprice service is provided by Veretech, Inc., a privately-held technology and Internet marketing company based in Boca Raton, Fla.
