Chrysler Unveils Pacifica and Sebring Sedan by Global Webcast - VIDEO ENHANCED STORY

Editor's Note: We congratulate the Chrysler group on their first live-video introduction. When I think back to the first live-video new vehicle introduction that we did on the Internet* (the first ever, incidentally), on October 3, 1996, I remember how exciting it was and how proud we all felt. We hope that our friends at Chrysler experienced the same exhilaration.

AUBURN HILLS - June 22, 2006: The cars themselves were not the only news during the Chrysler Group's Pacifica and all-new 2007 Sebring Sedan unveilings, so was the show's outlet. The company introduced its new products via a Webcast so, according to Chrysler Group officials, both journalists and automotive enthusiasts from around the world would have access to this event. During the show, spectators learned about the Sebring Sedan, a mid-size vehicle that offers technologies not available in this market, like optional heated cloth front seats and a cabin air-filtration system. Chrysler Group officials say the Sebring Sedan is fuel-efficient and is equipped with multiple safety features including standard side-curtain air bags and a system that alerts drivers to low pressure tires. The other vehicle showcased, the Chrysler Pacifica, is also aimed to improve safety having received a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Pacifica has an updated exterior, new engine and new six-speed transmission that Chrysler Group officials say offers increased horsepower and torque.
