* Wild Wheels event serves up 'Back to the Future' Edible Fuels Lunch and Exotic Wheeled Vehicles

* Discover the Benefits of Food that Doubles as Fuel

What: In the 1989 film, "Back to the Future II," Christopher Lloyd (Doc) used banana peels and other organic matter to fuel his time machine. While time travel remains a distant dream, biofuels are a reality. Eric Ridenour, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group invites area journalists to discover the benefits of edible fuel such as HEMI(R)-Roasted Corn Salad, Smoked BBQ Soy Steaks, Corn Tamales and more during "Wild Wheels at Work." Chrysler Group is committed to renewable fuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel -- initiatives that aren't so corny after all.

Who: Join Eric Ridenour for an "edible fuels" lunch made of home-grown "gasoline alternatives," while an estimated 5,000 Chrysler Group employees discover "Wild Wheels at Work."

  When: Thursday, June 8 (Rain date: Friday, June 9)
        10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Vehicles on display

Details: Started in 2000, "Wild Wheels at Work" is an employee event where Chrysler Group employees and retirees showcase their enthusiasm for classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, motorcycles and other "wild" wheeled vehicles. This is the eighth time the event has been held.

In addition to the latest Chrysler Group alternative fuel vehicles, more than 300 Chrysler Group employees will display vehicles, ranging from the oldest vehicle, a 1910 Brush Model D, to what certainly is the most unusual, a seven-foot wide, eight-foot long 1944 DUKW World War II era amphibious transport, and several executive-owned vehicles, including a 1970 Dodge Super Bee owned by Eric Ridenour.

  Additional attractions:
  * Dodge RAMINATOR Monster Truck rides
  *  FIRST Robotics team demonstrations
  * Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge SRT line-up
  * 1995 Yamaha VMax 4 Asphalt Drag Sled with Dodge Viper design

Other Activities: After Wild Wheels at Work, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, 1 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, welcomes all makes and models for "Cruise Nights" from 6 to 9 p.m. Cruisers will also receive free admission to the museum and its special exhibition, "Hot Rods and Cool Mods," a collection of more than two dozen exquisitely crafted, exotic vehicles that showcase the past, present and future of the customization hobby.
