MTS Declares 98th Consecutive Quarterly Dividend

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., May 24, 2006 -- MTS Systems Corporation today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a cash dividend as follows:

   Amount:        $0.10
   Record Date:   June 15, 2006
   Payable Date:  July 3, 2006

This represents MTS Systems Corporation's 98th consecutive quarterly dividend.
