GEICO Takes Safe Driving Message to Louisiana's Youth Conference on Teens 'Taking Action'

BATON ROUGE, La., April 25 -- Louisiana's 18th annual "Taking Action! Louisiana Youth Conference" will take place April 28 - April 30 at the Holiday Inn Select in Baton Rouge, La. This year's theme is "Believe - In Yourself, In Life, In the Game," with the hope of motivating teens to be committed to making healthy, positive decisions.

GEICO associates, Randy Thompson and Jon Miguel, will distribute materials on teen safe driving and the consequences of underage drinking and other risk factors at the conference. The conference is sponsored by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, the Office of Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control and GEICO, among others. Approximately 900 teens are expected to take part in the conference as well as over 150 adult chaperones. The conference will include nationally-known keynote speakers and numerous workshops, including one on traffic safety.
