5th Annual National Tire Safety Week Be Tire Smart!

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla., April 24 -- From April 23 to April 29, 2006 the Rubber Manufacturers Association is encouraging drivers to "Be Tire Smart - Play Your PART" during the fifth annual National Tire Safety Week because proper tire care can maximize vehicle safety, preserve tire life and save you cents at the gas pump.

Because poor tire care leads to tire failure and low gas mileage, the RV Safety & Education Foundation is urging RV drivers to pay special attention to their tires and take just five minutes once a month and before long trips to check their tire pressure. Taking care of RV tires is especially critical as more and more families start to travel as the summer months approach and the RV Safety & Education Foundation urges RV drivers to take advantage of free resources available to them in their area.
