Residents of All Five Boroughs Are Encouraged to Become Members of 'Avis New York RentControl' and Start Earning Free Days

PARSIPPANY, N.J., April 20 -- As of today, New Yorkers will now have another neighborhood option to choose from when renting a car and a new way to earn free rental days. Avis Rent A Car System, LLC is proudly announcing the official opening of a new car rental facility in Brooklyn, New York at 211 Atlantic Avenue, near Court Street in downtown Brooklyn. The opening broadens the already extensive network of airport and local neighborhood Avis rental facilities conveniently located throughout the New York metropolitan area. In addition, residents of Brooklyn and all New York City boroughs can now become members of the popular "Avis New York RentControl" program. This program allows frequent renters to earn one free rental day for every five paid qualifying rentals. The program was previously available only to residents of Manhattan.

All Avis rate plans will be honored, including special inter-city, one-way rates with no drop-off charges between local neighborhood locations and New York City airports. Avis also offers an insurance replacement program designed for customers who need use of a temporary vehicle because their own car is in the shop.

Hours of operation at the full-service rental facility are Sunday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
