Auburn Hills, MI - April 11, 2006: The 2007 Jeep Patriot, the seventh SUV to be introduced under the Jeep® brand, is making its debut at the New York Auto Show. Designers say the compact SUV maintains the brand’s standard ability to drive in rough terrain but is also fuel efficient. Besides conserving energy, Chrysler Group officials say the Patriot also offers three drive configurations: front-wheel drive, Freedom Drive I (a full-time, active four-wheel drive system with Lock mode) and Freedom Drive II Off-Road package (a full-time, active 4x4 system designed for off-road situations).

The 2007 Patriot will be available in U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2006 and internationally in the first quarter of 2007.
