Quaker Steak & Lube Restaurants Return as Title Sponsor of NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series "Quaker Steak & Lube 200" at Lowe's Motor
Speedway 

 

SHARON, PA (April 3, 2006) Quaker Steak & Lube, a motor-themed
restaurant chain, has returned as title sponsor of the May 19th NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The event, known
as "The Quaker Steak & Lube 200", will feature a mix of NASCAR's young
drivers, as well as seasoned NEXTEL Cup veterans. 

 

In addition to their title sponsorship of the race, Quaker Steak & Lube
is giving their customers a chance to win one million dollars with the
Quaker Steak & Lube 200 "Million Dollar Race to the Flag" promotion. The
contest began on February 19th with the running of the Daytona 500, and
will continue through the May 19th running of the Quaker Steak & Lube
200. Customers can sign up during any NASCAR Nextel Cup race for a
chance to become a finalist by completing an entry blank at any Quaker
Steak & Lube location prior to May 6th. 

 

A total of 32 finalists will be chosen prior to the running of the
Quaker Steak & Lube 200. Each finalist must predict the exact order of
the top-5 finishing drivers in the Quaker Steak & Lube 200. Finalists
that correctly predict the finishing order will claim their share of the
$1 million grand prize. 

 

The original Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant was opened in a converted
gas station in 1974 in Sharon, PA. Since franchising in 1997, The Lube
has grown to 18 locations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee,
Florida, West Virginia, Wisconsin and North Carolina. Quaker Steak &
Lube has recently opened three new locations in State College,
Pennsylvania, Charleston, West Virginia, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Quaker Steak & Lube is best known for its chicken wings, which are
served in 16 award-winning sauces. The Lube also features a line-up of
steaks, ribs, burgers and deluxe salads.  Each restaurant showcases
thousands of authentic motor-themed memorabilia, from historic photos
and driver uniforms to high performance motorcycles and cars.
