"We will offer some dynamic and one-of-a-kind cars at this year's Palm Beach event," Craig Jackson, president and CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Co., commented. This is the finest collection to appear at our Palm Beach event."

A custom 1947 Franay Bentley Mark VI, Lot #723, considered by many to be one of the most famous post-war Bentleys ever, is sure to be a crowd favorite. Recently restored to near perfect condition, this Corvette is a collector's dream.

Not to be outshone by the classics and muscle cars, the first production 2006 Ford GTX1 roadster, Lot #726, will cross the block as well. A portion of its proceeds will benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Serial #001 of the 650 horsepower supercar is a masterpiece of design and engineering with a four-way adjustable hardtop that configures to the driver's wishes.

Two other contemporary classics are Lot #s 649 and 649.1, owned by TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw. Dr. Phil's 2002 Ferrari 360 Spider and 2001 Gemballa Porsche Turbo are a heavily documented pair of European exotics guaranteed to keep the winning bidders smiling as they push the performance beauties to their limits.

Similar to the Scottsdale auction, Ford Motor Co. will be offering the first 2005 Ford GT Coupe available to the public, Lot #5001, with the proceeds from the sale to benefit Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation. Mark Fields, executive vice president of Ford Motor Co., will accompany Carroll Shelby in the GT as it crosses the auction block.

Also available at this year's auction is a 1967 Shelby G.T.500 (Lot #712) which is the first air-conditioned prototype built in this configuration, and Lot #720, a one-only Superformance Daytona Cobra Coupe "Sebring Tribute" car designed by Peter Brock and created as a modern version of Carroll Shelby's Sebring-winning Daytona Coupe and a matching numbers 1970 Ford Boss 429 Mustang (Lot #719.1) that recently received a full restoration.
