Harley Earl Photo Display for Sale

Royal Oak, MI., March 20, 2006; No one influenced the look of the 20th century automobile world --- and the enduring passion for automobiles --- as much as Harley Earl.

At recent auctions, his one-of-a-kind futuristic concept vehicles --- including the Oldsmobile F-88, the Futurliner and the Pontiac Bonneville Special --- have spurred multimillion dollar bidding wars by prosperous car collectors and museums.

These three iconic American trophy vehicles sold for a combined total of over $10-million dollars since January 2005.

A photography exhibition documenting Harley Earl’s creative genius tells a story highlighting the legacy of America’s automobile design industry and how it impacted our society and culture.

The most comprehensive collection of this artist’s work to date, this exhibition features 66 color and black & white photographs along with information on:

  • The world's 1st and 2nd concept cars; the Y-Job & the LeSabre that Earl created.
  • Various design patents GM kept secret by this artist/engineer.
  • Culture defining designs & innovations.

This traveling photo exhibition originally began at the Cranbrook Acadamey of Art in Bloomfileld Hills, Michigan in 1997. This exhibit on the pioneering artist who founded the profession of automotive design in America is now available for purchase on Ebay: CLICK HERE 4 eBay Auction
