RINGERS GLOVES RAISES STAKES ON PRO BIKE BATTLE
Gainesville, Fla. - (March 18, 2006) NHRA officials announced during a
press conference at Gainesville Raceway Saturday that Ringers Gloves has
extended its sponsorship of the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle through the 2010
season and will boost the overall event payout to $76,000.
The Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle, a race-within-a-race bonus program for
the season’s best Pro Stock Motorcycle racers, is contested during the Mac
Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, the world’s most prestigious
drag race. The eight Pro Stock Motorcycle riders who qualify for the Ringers
Gloves Pro Bike Battle will have the opportunity to earn more money thorough
an increased awards payout, which includes a $61,000 race payout and $15,000
in qualifying bonuses throughout the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle series.
With the increased payout structure, the winner of the Ringers Gloves Pro
Bike Battle will earn $25,000; the runner-up $10,000; the two semifinalists
$6,000 each; and the four first round finishers $3,500 apiece.
“We are pleased to extend our sponsorship of the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike
Battle through the end of this decade,?? said Kenny Dolenak, president of Ringers
Gloves. “More importantly, we are thrilled to be able to significantly

Each of the No. 1 qualifiers at the 15 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series
events that feature Pro Stock Motorcycle will earn $1,000 as part of the bonus
program. Riders will earn points during qualifying at the 15 events in order to
earn one of the eight starting positions for the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike
Battle. Riders started earning points for the 2006 Ringers Gloves Pro Bike
Battle, which will be contested Sept. 2 at IRP, at the 2005 Mac Tools U.S.
Nationals and will continue to earn points through the 2006 O’Reilly NHRA Mid-South
Nationals at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park.
In the comprehensive NHRA sponsorship program, Ringers Gloves will be
recognized as an NHRA official sponsor, and also participate as a major NHRA
contingency sponsor.
“This is absolutely one of the marquee attractions each season for our Pro
Stock Motorcycle racers,?? said Gary Darcy, senior vice president of sales and
marketing, NHRA. “With Ringers Gloves’ continued support of this competitive
bonus program through 2010 and its increased purse structure, we’re
