Wings 'N Wheels Air, Military & Vehicle Show Counting Down to Fly, Roll and Rumble

FORT PIERCE, FL - March 18, 2006: Wings 'N Wheels Air, Military & Vehicle Show, a tribute to America's service men and women, is Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 at St. Lucie County International Airport from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Spectators will enjoy seeing four of America's best Military Jet Demo Teams headline including the F-15 West Coast Demo Team, F-16CJ East Coast Demonstration Team, Navy F/A-18 Hornet and USAF T-6A Texan II Demonstration Team. World Famous Red Baron Pizza Squadron, American Firebirds, Skip Stewart and Reno Air Racing Champion Mary Dilda will give spectacular aerobatic performances.

A battle between the Axis and Allies takes place in authentic detail when a 'Mitchell' B25 bomber gives air support to American armor while Infantry Soldiers advance. Overhead, in a battle for air superiority, a dogfight will ensue between the legendary P51 and a German Folke Wolfe.

See 40 different military vehicles dating back to WWII such as the rare WWII 101st Airborne Cushman Scooter, a M8 Greyhound armored car, mules, ferrets, unimogs, jeeps, trucks and military humvees. The encampment is complete with officers' tents, sandbags, camo netting, a military hospital to uniformed re-enactors and restored military vehicle collections.

The 'Speed Zone' is where fans will find NASCAR simulators and jet powered dragsters along with the Ambassadors from the National Corvette Museum, Team Corvette and the C5/C6 Registry. There will also be a juried car 'n cycle show.

The mission of Wings 'N Wheels is to organize a patriotic community event that promotes national pride in the military and celebrates America's service men and women. Carefully crafted, this mission parallels the core values of the Victory Forge Military Academy and Boot Camp. This award-winning airshow is produced by Victory Forge Military Academy and Boot Camp, a program of Treasure Coast Victory Children's Home Inc. Proceeds earned from the show will go to support and further develop their programs.
