World DLA Driver's License Verification Technology can Help Save Lives and Make Roads Safer

BUFFALO, New York, March 13 -- Drivers who operate a motor vehicle without a driver's license are believed to be the most dangerous drivers on the road. According to a study conducted by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, affiliated with the non profit motorist club, 20% of fatal motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. involve at least one unlicensed driver. In other AAA Foundation research, nearly one death an hour from 1993 to 1997 could be attributed to unlicensed drivers.

WHAT CAN BE DONE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

"We need to find ways to prevent unlicensed drivers from driving. And World DLA provides a promising technical solution that prevents unlicensed motorists from operating a vehicle" said Paul Simpson, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development of World DLA.

World DLA, Inc. is a Buffalo-based firm that has successfully developed the world's first "real time" driver's license validation service, a patent pending technology that helps clients determine quickly, accurately and inexpensively whether a driver's license is valid or not. It is an endpoint, on-line authentication solution-using existing card reader terminals or computers-that provides the basic "yes" or "no" validation answer in just seconds. The price of the service is $2.00 per enquiry. Government agencies, car rental agencies, new and used automotive/truck dealerships, taxi, limousine, courier services and trucking service firms are contracting to use the service.
