Lexus.com Launches First Luxury Automotive Web Site in Spanish

TORRANCE, Calif., March 6 -- Lexus announced that its Web site, recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as the most useful automobile Web site for new-vehicle shopping, has launched a Spanish-language site at lexus.com/espanol. It is the first Spanish-language Web site created by a luxury automotive brand.

"Growth in the luxury market is steadily increasing among those who predominantly speak Spanish or are bilingual," said Deborah Meyer, Lexus vice president of marketing. "Lexus has a strong core of buyers in the Hispanic community, and many prefer Spanish-language sites when researching or shopping online."

The new lexus.com/espanol site features unique images and marketing information. The comprehensive site contains vehicle information on the full line of Lexus luxury cars and SUVs, the Lexus dealer locator, Lexus Certified Pre-Owned information, and the About Lexus reference area, which includes Lexus history, awards and accolades, and corporate information.

Additional content to lexus.com/espanol is planned for the future. Among them will be vehicle e-brochures, financial services information, and a process to sign up for future Lexus announcements.

Lexus.com was recently named the most useful automobile manufacturer Web site for new-vehicle shopping, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Manufacturer Web Site Evaluation Study(SM) -- Wave 1. The twice-yearly study measures the usefulness of manufacturer Web sites during the new-vehicle shopping process in four key areas: appearance, speed, navigation and information/content.
