DALLAS--March 5, 2006--Texans Can! announced today that its weekly "Cars for Kids" auction will have an added twist. On March 11 and March 13, caring citizens will have even more opportunities to change the lives of at-risk kids. In keeping with its normal policy, Texans Can! will auction attractive vehicles to the highest bidder, with the proceeds providing a second chance at education for at-risk youth. Furthermore, everyone attending the auction this week will have another chance to give by donating computers for use in Texans Can! schools.

Overseeing the computer donations are local franchise owners from Geeks On Call. Along with collecting the computers, Geeks On Call also updates and refurbishes the equipment prior to giving it to students. Anyone who cannot attend the auctions can still donate a computer by calling Geeks On Call at 1-800-905-GEEK.

"Our partnership with Geeks On Call has been a blessing," said Grant East, founder and president emeritus of Texans Can!. "In less than two years they have helped our students by collecting over 900 computers."

Echoing this sentiment was Crofton Rhodes, a Geeks On Call franchise owner from Dallas. "Geeks On Call is proud to partner with Texans Can!," said Rhodes. "We are committed to bringing hope to students who might otherwise miss out on the opportunities that our great country has to offer."

To make these auctions even more enjoyable, Texans Can! has arranged for the MusicGiants Network to display a 22-foot vintage silver AirStream trailer that is actually a high-tech music demo room on wheels. This trailer is a sight to see with its red velvet couches, dazzling interior lights, and state-of-the-art music system. In celebration of the Cars for Kids auctions, MusicGiants will give away two music download accounts, each of which is worth $50 in free music credits.

The Cars For Kids auction in Arlington will begin at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 11, at 1911 E Division St. The Dallas event will begin at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 13, at 9426 Lakefield Blvd.
