Posted by www.eMercedesBenz.com on March 3, 2006

In addition to the host of new Mercedes models making their debut at
the International Motor Show in Geneva, German supertuner BRABUS has
used the event to showcase a few new products of their own.

We've already told you about most of them, but two we've failed to
mention are the Brabus Viano Lounge Concept as well as the BRABUS
Black Star 101, a vehicle based on the smart fortwo convertible.

But fret not, oh faithful readers, because you can find details of
these two vehicles, as well the entire Geneva BRABUS lineup,
immediately below. Also, if you'd like to view photos of any of the
vehicles, you can do so by visiting www.eMercedesBenz.com. Enjoy.

BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo

At the Geneva Motor Show 2006 BRABUS celebrates the debut of the
world's fastest and most powerful luxury sedan. The 340-km/h high-
performance automobile is based on the new Mercedes S 600 and is
powered by a BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine with 730
hp / 537 kW and a peak torque of 1,320 Nm.

The BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo engine is a prime example for the old
adage that nothing can replace displacement except more displacement.
A special crankshaft with longer stroke, forged pistons with a larger
diameter and an increased cylinder bore result in a displacement
increase from standard 5.5 to now 6.3 liters. In addition the inlet
and outlet ports of both cylinder heads are optimized for improved
mixture flow. Four special camshafts also contribute to that same
effect.

The BRABUS engine specialists further equip the engine with larger
turbochargers, a more efficient intercooling system and a stainless-
steel high-performance exhaust system with four pipes and metal
catalysts with low back pressure. Newly programmed engine electronics
ensure that all new components work together flawlessly. They also
contribute to maximum power yield and to meeting current exhaust
emission limits.

With 730 hp / 537 kW at 5,100 rpm the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo engine
delivers superlative power. The same is true for its peak torque of
1,320 Nm at 2,100 rpm. In the car peak torque is limited
electronically to 1,100 Nm.

This extraordinary performance makes the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo into
not just the most powerful but also the fastest luxury sedan in the
world: 0 ? 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, 200 km/h after just 11.9 seconds
and an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h.

Power is transferred to the real wheels via a modified five-speed
automatic transmission. An optional BRABUS locking differential
optimizes traction. All BRABUS powertrain components are operated
exclusively with ARAL high-performance lubricants. BRABUS also offers
performance tuning for the S 600 and S 65 models. The list ranges
from the T12 performance kit for 580 hp / 419 kW to the T 65 S
performance tuning that boosts power output of the S 65 model to 715
hp / 526 kW.

The enormous performance of the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo place
especially high demands on the vehicle's aerodynamic properties. The
BRABUS designers used the wind tunnel to develop a special front
apron whose refined shape reduces lift on the front axle. Its large
central air inlet optimizes cooling of engine and front brakes.

For optimizing the airflow around the sides of the vehicle the
designers shaped the BRABUS side sills that feature integrated
entrance lights for added utility.

The BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement concept is rounded out with the
BRABUS rear spoiler lip and the rear apron with integrated LED lights
and custom-tailored cutouts for the BRABUS sport exhaust with four
tailpipes.

The enormous performance of the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo is kept in
safe control at all times by custom-tailored solutions for tires,
brakes and suspension. These include BRABUS Monoblock light-alloy
wheels with 20- or 21-inch diameters. The largest version features the
new especially elegant BRABUS Monoblock E wheels in sizes 9Jx21 on
the front axle and 10.5Jx21 in the rear. The nine-spoke design was
developed specifically for the new Mercedes S-Class and celebrates
its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2006. Extensive tests
demonstrated Pirelli and Yokohama tires in sizes 255/30 ZR 21 in
front and 285/30 ZR 21 on the rear axle to be ideal.

The large wheels also create the necessary space to install the
BRABUS high-performance brake system with 12-piston aluminum fixed
calipers and 380 x 36-mm vented and cross-drilled discs in front, and
355 x 28-mm discs and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the rear
axle.

Luxurious and highly customized interiors are yet another BRABUS
specialty. The product lineup for the new BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo
ranges from sill plates with BRABUS logo to ergonomically shaped
safety steering wheels with airbag to an exclusive BRABUS interior
crafted from especially soft yet Mastik leather and the finest
Alcantara. The fastest luxury sedan in the world can be further
refined with an exclusive state-of-the-art BRABUS multimedia package.

BRABUS Business Concept for the new Mercedes S-Class

State-of-the-art entertainment and communication technologies on
board a 340-km/h luxury sedan: BRABUS has developed a business
concept for the new Mercedes S-Class that not only offers the latest
technologies but also combines maximum utility with the highest level
of craftsmanship.

At the heart of the system is an ultra-slim 3-GHz notebook computer,
housed safely in an electrically powered drawer under the rear parcel
shelf in the trunk. The notebook with tablet PC technology can be
easily removed from the docking station for use in the office or
during business meetings.

The entire BRABUS business package is operated with a second COMAND
controller, conveniently installed in a special console integrated
into the rear passenger compartment. This allows users of the
computer system to operate the system in identical ways regardless of
whether they're seated in the front or in the rear. The new console
also houses a color printer.

An electrically deployed 15.2-inch computer monitor with 16:9 aspect
ratio is integrated into the headliner upholstered in the finest
leather. The BRABUS computer is connected to the internet via UMTS.
Two USB 2.0 ports integrated into the rear compartment allow
connecting peripherals such as a webcam for video conferencing or a
digital camera.

The interior specialists from BRABUS have also come up with an
innovative solution that lets rear occupants watch digital TV, a DVD
or play a game on their game console in the new S-Class: They
manufacture special new backrests for the standard seats, upholstered
in matching leather. These new backrests reach all the way up to the
headrests and feature a 7-inch LD monitor with 16:9 aspect ratio and
integrated DVD player. Each BRABUS seat backrest can be further
equipped with an integrated precious-wood table that folds down and
stows at the push of a button. The table tops are available with
grains that match the standard wood trims of the S-Class, and can be
tilted at any angle. They provide ample space for reading files or
for the wireless keyboard of the computer system.

The computer comes with an MP3 player and can store more than 5,000
songs. The sound is transmitted via Sennheiser Noise Gard headphones
with active noise cancellation technology for undisturbed listening
pleasure.

Maximum individuality and comfort in the interior is yet another
specialty of the BRABUS interior designers. Among the many options
are electrically operated curtains that guarantee privacy for the
rear occupants. The product lineup further includes sill plates with
illuminated BRABUS logo, ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels
and even an exclusive fully leather BRABUS interior crafted from
especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather or from the finest
Alcantara leather.

BRABUS also offers many other options for customizing and refining
the new S-Class. Among them are stainless-steel sport exhaust
systems, powerful engine tunings, sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-
enhancement components, high-performance brake systems, suspension
modules as well as one-piece and multi-piece light-alloy wheels in
various designs and diameters ranging from 18 to 21 inches.

BRABUS Tuning for the new Mercedes R-Class

Concurrent with the market introduction of the new Mercedes R-Class
in Europe BRABUS presents an exclusive tuning program for the new
Grand Sports
Tourer. Highlights of the product lineup are the BRABUS 6.1 S
displacement engine with 445 hp / 327 kW for the R 500, a sporty yet
elegant aerodynamic-enhancement program, light-alloy wheels up to 22
inches in diameter with custom-calibrated suspensions, and

The eight-cylinder R 500 can be elevated to new performance levels in
four BRABUS tuning stages. The most powerful of them is labeled
BRABUS 6.1 S. In addition to the displacement increase of the V8
engine to 6.1 liters the three-valve cylinder heads are optimized
for improved mixture flow and fitted with special camshafts. The
conversion further includes a stainless-steel high-performance
exhaust system with metal catalysts. The impressive result after the
conversion: 445 hp / 327 kW at 6,000 rpm and an enormous peak torque
of 635 Nm at 4,500 rpm. In BRABUS 6.1 S specification the Grand
Sports Tourer delivers excellent performance: Just 5.9 seconds for 0
- 100 km/h with a top speed of 265 km/h.

BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust systems with four tailpipes are
available for all R-Class engine variants.

For a more sporty emphasis of the characteristic R-Class lines the
BRABUS designers developed an aerodynamic-enhancement kit with front
spoiler, precise-fit auxiliary headlight inserts for the front bumper
and a rear apron with cutouts for the two dual chrome tailpipes of
the BRABUS sport exhaust.

Just as important for a customized appearance are BRABUS Monoblock A,
S and VI light-alloy wheels, which come in various designs with
diameters ranging from 18 to 22 inches. The largest version for the
new R-Class features BRABUS wheels in size 10Jx22 shod with Yokohama

BRABUS CLS ROCKET

The world's fastest four-door coupe comes from BRABUS. This
automobile, built in small-series production based on the Mercedes
CLS model series, is powered by a 730-hp / 537-kW 6.3-liter twelve-
cylinder twin-turbo engine, that was implanted with almost surgical
precision into the engine bay of the four-door. The performance
speaks for itself: 0 ? 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, 0 ? 200 km/h in 10.5
seconds, 0 ? 300 km/h in 29.5 seconds are just as unique as is the
electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.

At the heart of this new high-performance automobile lies the V12
twin-turbo engine from the SL 600. BRABUS fits the engine with a
special crankshaft, increases the cylinder bore and installs forged
pistons, resulting in a displacement increase to 6,233 ccm. Further
modifications include the optimization of the mixture flow in the
intake and outlet manifolds of both cylinder heads as well as the
installation of sport camshafts.

In addition the BRABUS powerplant engineers equip the engine with
custom-developed larger turbochargers, more efficient intercoolers
and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low back
pressure metal catalysts and four tailpipes. Newly programmed engine
electronics coordinate all new components perfectly and contribute
not only to maximum power yield but also to meeting all current legal
emission limits.

After the engine conversion, now also available for all Mercedes-Benz
600 und 65 models with twin-turbo V12, the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo
engine becomes the most powerful TÜV-tested engine from Germany: The
engines puts out its maximum power of 730 hp / 537 kW at 5,100 rpm.
Peak torque is 1,320 Nm, limited electronically to 1,100 Nm,
available from a low 2,100 rpm.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified five-speed
automatic transmission and the BRABUS locking differential.

The BRABUS ROCKET engine and the entire drivetrain is operated with
high-performance lubricants from technology partner ARAL.

Naturally it is essential that the unique performance the world's
fastest four-door coupe is capable of can be safely controlled at all
times. To do so BRABUS has developed two special suspensions for the
ROCKET: The comfort version features air suspension with automatic
ride leveling. The sport version comes with a height-adjustable coil-
over suspension and gas-pressure shocks with six different settings
for bound and rebound on
front and rear axle.

Maximum size and state-of-the-art materials characterize the BRABUS
high-performance brake system of the ROCKET. The front axle is fitted
with vented ceramics discs in size 375 x 36 mm and 12-piston aluminum
fixed calipers. The rear axle features steel discs in size 355 x 28
mm and 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers to round out the powerful and
fade-resistant brake system.

The giant brakes and the enormous performance necessitate the use
multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels with 19-inch
diameter. The BRABUS technology partners Pirelli and Yokohama provide
the high-performance tires suitable for these highs speeds.
The optimal tire/wheel combination for the BRABUS ROCKET are 8.5Jx19
wheels in front with 255/35 ZR 19 tires and 10Jx19 with 285/30 ZR 19
on the rear axle.

The BRABUS designers custom-developed a front apron for the ROCKET
with large air inlets for optimal cooling of oil and water radiators.
The shape of the front spoiler and of all other BRABUS aerodynamic-
enhancement parts was fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. Not only did
BRABUS succeed in reducing lift on the front axle, but also in
optimizing aerodynamic drag.

The aerodynamic counterpart to the front spoiler in the rear is the
BRABUS rear spoiler lip which emphasizes the rounded design of the
rear. But that's not all: In combination with the new front apron the
spoiler lip reduces aerodynamic lift, thus further improving
directional stability.

Integrated entrance lights are the dominant feature of the BRABUS
door sills and the BRABUS rear apron. Pushing a button on the keyless-
entry remote or pulling on a door handle activates five LED lights
on each side and in the rear. They illuminate the ground behind and
on either side of the vehicle to further improve user-friendliness.

The BRABUS rear apron is the perfect backdrop for the four tailpipes
of the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system. Its integrated
diffuser also contributes to the refined BRABUS aerodynamics concept
for the ROCKET.

The interior of the BRABUS ROCKET also meets the highest expectations
of the distinguishing customers of one of the world's most exclusive
automobiles. Soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara
are part of the exclusive BRABUS ambiance as is the ergonomically
shaped BRABUS sport steering wheel and the speedometer with 360-km/h
scale.

BRABUS Viano "Lounge Concept"

The exclusive office and cinema on wheels with state-of-the-art
entertainment technology: With the BRABUS Viano "Lounge Concept"
BRABUS, demonstrates how to convert the Mercedes minivan into a
luxurious and powerful multi-use automobile.

The BRABUS interior designers have developed an innovative concept
with a refined ambiance for the rear of the Viano: Maximum comfort
for both rear passengers is provided by two power-adjustable comfort
seats. Similar to long-distance air travel in business class these
two seats can be adjusted at the push of a button and recline all the
way to a sleeping position. Both seats are covered with especially
soft and breathable leather.

The two custom seats are separated by a center console made from a
stylish combination of leather and aluminum that is found throughout
the interior of the car. The console houses the controls for the rear
air conditioning system and the touch screen controls for the entire
multimedia system.

A 32-inch LCD monitor can be deployed from the partition wall behind
the front seats at the push of a button and acts as a screen for the
computer system. It can also show a movie playing on the DVD changer
or on high-quality digital TV. The Dolby-Surround sound is perfectly
reproduced by a HiFi system custom-tailored for the Viano.

BRABUS also provides on-board refreshments: A generously dimensioned
refrigerator is part of the exclusive equipment of the BRABUS Viano
"Lounge Concept" as is a 'Nespresso' coffee maker of the latest
generation.

The electrically deployed partition wall behind the front seats
provides rear-cabin privacy at the push of a button. Numerous
integrated storage compartments provide safekeeping of the rear
passengers' carry-on items.

On the outside the minivan sports a sporty yet elegant BRABUS
designer suit. The BRABUS front apron with two round fog lamps and
two Xenon high beams lends the Viano more character. But that's not
all: its refined shape also reduces lift on the front axle thus
further optimizing directional stability.

BRABUS refines the sides of the minivan with understated fender
flares on front and rear axle. BRABUS side sills with integrated LED
lights provide added safety for entering and exiting the vehicle. The
BRABUS rear apron features a custom cutout for the BRABUS stainless-
steel sport exhaust.

The attractive appearance is rounded out by custom tailored BRABUS
Monoblock light-alloy wheels with 18-inch diameter. 18-inch wheels
for the Viano are available as high-gloss, silver painted BRABUS
Monoblock A wheels or as fully polished Monoblock S light-alloy
wheels in size 8.5Jx18. Technology partner Yokohama provides the
corresponding high-performance tire in size 245/45 ZR 18 100Y. New
additions to the program are BRABUS Monoblock S 8.5Jx19 wheels with
255/40 R 19 tires.

To further improve the driving safety of the multi-purpose vehicle
without compromising ride comfort the BRABUS suspension engineers
developed special sport springs calibrated to match the production
shocks. These springs lower the ride height of the Viano regardless
of whether with sir or with conventional steel suspension by some 25
millimeters in the front and by about 20 millimeters in the rear.

Naturally BRABUS offers the Viano "Lounge Concept" also with powerful
engines. Maximum power output of the Viano 2.2 CDI with common-rail
turbodiesel engine and BRABUS D3 (II) PowerXtra performance kit jumps
from standard 150 hp / 130 kW to 177 hp / 130 kW at
4,000 rpm. With a peak torque of 370 Nm at 2,000 rpm the tuned diesel
engine provides plenty of pulling power. Thus equipped the minivan
accelerates to 100 km/h in just 10.6 seconds and reaches a top speed
of 180 km/h.

For the new top-of-the-line model Viano 3.5 BRABUS offers the proven
method of increasing displacement. The BRABUS 4.4 engine represents
an increase in power from 231 hp / 170 kW to 325 hp / 239 kW and an
increase in torque to 430 Nm at 4,200 rpm.

The BRABUS-tuned Viano sets new standards in performance: With an
acceleration time of 7.2 seconds for the sprint from 0 ? 100 km/h and
a top speed of 230 km/h this minivan is one of the fastest of its kind.

In addition BRABUS offers a stainless-steel sport rear muffler with
two chromes tailpipes for all engine variants of the new Mercedes Viano.

BRABUS also builds the Viano V8 in an exclusive small-series
production run. In this model the V6 drivetrain is painstakingly
replaced by the BRABUS 6.1 eight-cylinder displacement engine
combined with a matching five-speed automatic transmission.

426 hp / 313 kW at 5,400 U/rpm and a peak torque of 621 Nm at 4,100
rpm are the most important key figures of this engine, lubricated
like all BRABUS engines with ARAL high-performance motor oil.

With a sprint time of 5.9 seconds from rest to 100 km/h and an
electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h the BRABUS Viano V8 is
one of the world's fastest minivans.
