BMW Reduces Stake in Rolls Royce

Washington DC February 27, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that BMW said last Friday it has reduced its share in Rolls Royce Group, PLC from 9 percent to 3.25 percent. The automaker said the sale will generate a gain of $358.7 million for the current quarter, reports The Associated Press. BMW builds Rolls Royce brand cars, having brought control of both the name and its manufacturing operations from Volkswagen in 2003.
