Screamin' Eagle NHRA Nitro Harley-Davidson Exhibition Tour Continues

GLENDORA, CA - Feb. 25, 2006: NHRA announced the continuation of the Screamin' Eagle NHRA Nitro Harley-Davidson exhibition tour to be held at three national events in conjunction with the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

The three NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events in 2006 that will showcase the NHRA Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley-Davidson exhibitions will be the Checker Schuck's Kragen NHRA Nationals at Firebird International Raceway near Phoenix (Feb. 24-26), the O'Reilly Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals at Bristol (Tenn.) Dragway (April 28-30) and the Virginia NHRA Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park near Richmond, Va. (Oct. 6-8).

The invitation-only exhibition tour will feature the top Nitro Harley-Davidson teams from the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) who will compete to qualify for an eight-bike elimination field. Qualifying will take place on Friday and Saturday during each national event, with eliminations held on Sunday.

Headquartered in Glendora, Calif., the NHRA is the primary sanctioning body for the sport of drag racing in the United States. It presents 23 national events through its NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The NHRA has more than 80,000 members nationwide and 140 member tracks. The NHRA-sanctioned sportsman and bracket racing series provide competition opportunities for drivers of all levels.
