The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving Celebrates 38th Anniversary

PHOENIX, Feb. 14, 2006 -- The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving celebrates its 38th year of teaching the finer points of maximum car control Tuesday, February 14th.

Since 1968, Bob Bondurant and his staff have been training anyone looking to improve their car control skills. His students have consisted of performance enthusiasts, executives and teens, as well as aspiring and current racers, including NASCAR and Indy Car drivers.

From its modest beginning in Orange County, California, to its current 60 acre site located at Firebird International Raceway, the Bondurant School is now recognized as the worldwide leader in driver training, featuring nearly 200 race prepared vehicles, a 1.6 mile Bondurant-designed road course and an eight acre skid pad.

"It feels like we just started the School yesterday," said Bob Bondurant, who still runs the School. "I've enjoyed watching the School grow, and seeing our students develop into better and safer drivers. The greatest reward is hearing of a student's win in the professional realm of racing, such as Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Tony Stewart, top three winners of the recent Budweiser Shootout."
