DETROIT February 2, 2006 Cadillac SRX was selected as Car & Driver’s Best Luxury SUV for the third consecutive year in the magazine’s March 2006 “5 Best Trucks,” issue, now on newsstands. At the same time that SRX achieves this unprecedented honor, Cadillac has also made SRX an unprecedented value among luxury “crossover” SUVs.

Cadillac SRX now features a new base Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $36,270, lowest among competing luxury “crossover” SUVs.

“We’re very proud of this recognition of SRX’s performance and utility, coming from one of the world’s most respected auto experts,” said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager. “SRX is a segment leader in terms of critical acclaim and value, a compelling combination for luxury consumers.”

SRX’s critical acclaim stems from the fact that it offers the flexible utility of an SUV with performance cut from the cloth of a luxury sport sedan. A standard 255-hp V-6 engine, or the optional 320-hp Northstar V-8, combined with a chassis derived from Cadillac’s CTS and STS sedans, creates outstanding performance. Available features such as a power-folding third-row seat, standard power liftgate and DVD-Navigation provide SRX with ample utility and luxury.

The SRX’s new base price, reflecting a $3,005 reduction, is in effect now at Cadillac dealerships across the U.S.

Cadillac (www.cadillac.com) is a division of General Motors . Cadillac products include the CTS sport sedan, SRX luxury utility, STS performance luxury sedan, DTS large luxury sedan, XLR roadster, Escalade full-size SUVs and the high-performance V-Series (CTS-V, STS-V and XLR-V.)
