Subaru Reports January 2006 Sales

-- Impreza sales up 17% over last year --

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Feb. 1 -- Subaru of America, Inc. today reported January sales totaling 12,384 units. Sales of the Impreza line were up 17 percent from the same period last year.

"Subaru is looking forward to continuing its trend of consecutive record sales in 2006," said Fred Adcock, executive vice president, Subaru of America, Inc. "We've got the product to do it, including the 2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca that will make its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show next week."

The Subaru B9 Tribeca recorded 1,421 units for the month of January. The Subaru Legacy model line posted a total of 4,796 units, with Subaru Outback posting 3,202 units for the month. Subaru Impreza posted a double-digit gain with 2,550 unit sales, up seventeen percent, while Subaru Forester posted 3,331 units in January. Subaru Baja also recorded 286 units for the month.
