PHILADELPHIA SEPTA to Sell SUVs, Utility Vehicles and Heavy Equipment at Auction This Saturday

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 25, 2006 -- SEPTA will offer more than 150 vehicles including SUVs and trucks for sale at auction this Saturday (January 28) at the SEPTA Midvale Yard located at 4301 Wissahickon Avenue (near Roosevelt Boulevard/US Route 1) in Philadelphia.

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. The vehicles offered for sale were purchased between 1988 and 2001 and are recently retired from the SEPTA fleet. Along with the SUVs, for sale are mini-buses, vans, diesel 4x4 pickup trucks, 4x4 Suburbans, Police Cruiser Taurus and Crown Victoria sedans, heavy equipment 40-foot bucket trucks, forklifts and backhoe loaded tandem tractors.

Interested parties may inspect the vehicles at the Midvale Yard on Friday, January 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SEPTA annually conducts auctions of its retired vehicles.
