Man Tries To Impress Wife - Gets Car Impounded

Posted by www.eMercedesBenz.com on January 12, 2006 at 10:50 AM CST

"Bad boys, bad boys - whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they
come for you."

In New Zealand, a local businessman by the name of John Rae recently
made headlines when in a vain attempt to impress his wife and mother-
in-law, he performed a wicked burnout in his shiny new CLS 55 AMG.

Unfortunately for John, his heroic stunt was witnessed by local law
enforcement, and forty-five minutes later, police pulled him over.
To add to his unfortunate series of events, police then notified John
his CLS 55 was being impounded, citing he violated recently passed
"boy racer legislation," which apparently prohibits performing
treacherous acts of insanity to impress your significant other.

Here's what John had to say about the incident: "I lost traction."

Yeah right John, like we've never heard that one before.

I'm not from New Zealand, so I don't want to speak for the entire
population, but I'm sure everyone is sleeping a little sounder now
that Johnny "The Rocket" Rae isn't prowling the streets any more.
