Enhanced Protective Glass Automotive Association 2006 North American International Auto Show Glass Breaking Demonstrations

WHAT: The Enhanced Protective Glass Automotive Association (EPGAA) will be offering journalists an opportunity to schedule a glass breaking demonstration and learn more about the four key benefits of laminated glass -- safety, security, solar protection and sound reduction.

The EPGAA, comprised of laminate glass suppliers, provides information and education to consumers and the automotive industry on the development of laminated glass for added vehicle security and occupant comfort. Laminated glass is a high-impact resistant glass technology that automakers and car buyers have trusted for use in windshields for more than 60 years. In addition to windshield applications, laminated glass is being developed specifically for use in side and rear window, and roof applications.

Currently, DuPont Automotive; Glasstech, Inc.; Guardian Industries Corp.; PPG Industries, Inc.; Saint-Gobain Sekurit; Sekisui America Corporation and Solutia Automotive are members of the EPGAA. For more information on the EPGAA, visit http://www.epgaa.com/ .

WHO: EPGAA spokespeople will be on-hand to facilitate glass breaking demonstrations and discuss laminated glass benefits.
