Hyundai Motor America Names Don Dees Vice President, Service

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 6, 2005 -- Hyundai Motor America (HMA) President and CEO, Robert F. Cosmai, today announced that Don Dees has been named Vice President of Service for the company. Dees will be responsible for all service operations, technical training, technical support, warranty, service contracts, customer surveys and consumer affairs functions. He will report directly to the President and CEO.

Prior to joining HMA, Dees served as a Vice President of Manufacturing for Daimler-Chrysler. As one of the industry's leading experts on quality and manufacturing, he has worked in the automotive industry since 1977. His credentials include executive-level positions at GM, Ford and Toyota, as well as Chrysler.

"We are fortunate to add an automotive executive of Dees' caliber to our team," said Hyundai's President and CEO Bob Cosmai. "His wide range of experience will assist in our strong push to continue to improve our customer service and move it to a higher level."

Dees earned his Bachelor's of Industrial Administration degree in Finance and Production Management from the General Motors Institute.

Dees and his wife, Cookie and five children will reside in Southern California.
